Actress Trisha has thanked national award-winning actor Dhanush, who is her co-star in her Kodi which releases in theatres today, for helping her out in enacting her portions in the film.
Directed by R.S. Durai Senthilkumar, Kodi has Dhanush and Trisha, in the field for more than 12 years now, pairing up opposite each other for the first time. Trisha, who plays a village belle in the film, spoke to newspersons on the eve of the film’s release.
“Though I and Dhanush have been in the industry for many years and have known each other very well, we get to pair up on-screen only for the first time in Kodi. I have spoken to him on a few occasions at award-functions. My role in the film is very different from the roles I have played so far and though I loved the character, I was apprehensive about going ahead with the character which had shades of grey.
“It was Dhanush who encouraged me to take up the role and give my best. His help was immense and it only increased in my mind the kind of regards I had for him. Dhanush even helped me out with action sequences. He is a self-less actor and I’m sure his fans won’t get ‘angry’ at me for my role in the film,” concludes Trisha.
