Actress Trisha has expressed her desire to play Tamil Nadu chief-minister Jayalalithaa as and when a film is made on her life.
Trisha had been touring the State for the past two days to promote her Dhanush-starrer Kodi which releases today in theatres. Trisha plays a woman politician with shades of grey. Speaking during the promotional event, she said that she had always wanted to star in a biopic on Tamil Nadu chief-minister J. Jayalalitha. “Of course, I would love to play Jayalalithaa’s role in her biopic,” she said.
She hasn’t wasted an occasion to speak high of the chief-minister’s deeds and has gone on record many a time that the considers the award which was once presented to her by Jayalalithaa as a ‘treasure’.
It may be recalled that Jayalalithaa was a full-time actress before taking to politics. Trisha and Jayalalithaa have at least one thing in common among them: both of them studied at Church Park Convent, Chennai. Trisha was an average student while Jayalalithaa was a State topper during Class X exams!
Would any film-maker be daring enough to make the biopic on the chief-minister’s life and cast Trisha in the lead role? Let’s wait and see!
