It is reported that superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming film 2.0, which is directed by Shankar and produced by Lyka Productions, is to be a full-fledged 3-D film. This has excited superstar Rajinikanth’s fans who have been gearing up to watch their ‘Thalaivar’ in action ‘live’ in a 3-D film for the first time!
Billed as the country’s most expensive film as yet with a budget of over Rs.350 crores, 2.0 is the sequel to Rajini’s 2010 super-hit film Enthiran: The Robot which was Shankar’s second film with Rajini after the super-duper hit film Sivaji: The Boss. As 2.0 brings together Rajini and Shankar together for the third time, fans of Rajini and Shankar are mighty excited.
Rajini plays dual roles in the film whose shoot commenced last September. Bollywood’s Akshay Kumar plays the main protagonist and has for company three other villains including Sudhanshu Pandey, Adil Hussain and Kalabhavan Shajohn. Amy Jackson and Ramya Krishnan play prominent roles in the film which has music by A.R. Rahman and is cinematographed by Nirav Shah.
200 days of the film’s shoot have been wrapped up so far and it is revealed only now that the film has been made as a full-length 3-D film. With 75% of the film’s shoot now over, the crew is now indulged in releasing the first-look posters of the film whose teaser is to be released on 20th November.
