Simbu has put on oodles of weight around his waist so as to look convincing in one of his roles of a 60-year old don (are you reminded of superstar Rajinikanth’s Kabali?) in his upcoming film titled as Anbanavan Asarathavan Adangathavan directed by Adik Ravichandran of Trisha Illana Nayantara (in)fame.
Adik has himself revealed this ‘invaluable’ piece of information on his Twitter account. Simbu plays a triple role for the first time in his more than a decade-long career in Adik’s new venture. He plays a father and his two sons (twins). Shriya Saran, out of reckoning among Tamil film-makers, gets a Tamil film after a long time by getting to pair up opposite the ‘older’ Simbu.
Simbu is said to have consciously put on weight so that he looks as convincing as possible in his role of a 60-year old don whose character’s name is ‘Ashwin Dada’ in the film. Adik has lauded Simbu’s hard-work, sincerity and commitment for acquiring paunch purposely for his role in the film.
One of the twin sons in the film would be romancing ‘milky beauty’ Tamannaah in the film. This is the first time that the talented Simbu is pitted opposite the equally talented Tamannaah, who had dubbed in her own voice for her role in her latest hit film Dharma Durai!
