With uncertainty glooming over the directorial choice of Vikram’s next project before he starts to work on Hari’s Saamy 2, the makers of Iru Mugan have confirmed that the film has grossed Rs. 66 crores in the first six days until Tuesday.
The team has also declared that the movie has become the third highest grosser in Chennai city this year after Rajinikanth’s Kabali and Vijay’s Theri which minted money at the box office for Chennai theater owners and exhibitors.
Iru Mugan which was released in nearly 450 screens across Tamil Nadu by Auraa Cinemas will continue to run in over 425 screens in its second week too. The movie has been declared a hit at the box office by trade pundits.
