Shamli, a popular child artiste in the nineties who did some unforgettable roles like the one she did in ace director Mani Ratnam’s Anjali, has matured into a beautiful woman now and is all set to make her debut as heroine in Tamil with an upcoming titled as Veera Sivaji.
Shamli is paired up opposite Vikram Prabhu in the film which is produced by S. Nandhagopal, who made last year’s super-hit ‘Jayam’ Ravi-Hansika starrer Romeo Juliet. Shamli is feeling like a candidate who has appeared for the examinations and awaiting results in a tense manner. The film’s audio was launched late last week.
Ganesh Vinayak, who has directed the film, says that Veera Sivaji is a family entertainer which won’t hurt anyone’s sentiments. “It’s a pucca commercial film and would have loads and loads of fun and action,” he assures. The film has been shot majorly in Pondicherry while the song sequences have been shot in Georgia.
D. Imman is the music director of the film which is cinematographed by M. Sukumar. John Vijay, ‘Robot’ Shankar, Yogi Babu, ‘Naan Kadavul’ Rajendran, Manisha Sree, Vinodhini, Sriranjani, Marimuthu and Kutti are part of the film’s cast.
