The first-look posters and as such, the title, of Vijay’s upcoming film were released yesterday; in fact, they were not ‘released’ but leaked on the Net by some over-excited Vijay’s fans. Later, in an attempt at damage-control, Vijay himself released them on his Twitter account.
Directed by Bharathan of Azhagiya Tamizh Magan fame, Vijay’s upcoming film would also be the 60th film in his career spanning more than 20 years now. The film has been titled as Bhairavaa and depicts a suit-clad Vijay, donning a pair of sun glasses, standing merrily on a cycle-rickshaw!
Vijay has been paired up opposite newbie Keerthy Suresh in the film. There was a certain degree of controversy over the film’s title as it was earlier reported that the crew was trying to get MGR’s title of Enga Veettu Pillai and superstar Rajinikanth’s Thalapathi but the crew faced strong opposition from MGR and Rajini’s fans.
Even before Vijay was to release the first-look of the film and its title on his Twitter account, it had been released a few hours ahead by some over-excited fan. Unperturbed by this unofficial ‘launch’, Vijay later went ahead and released the first-look posters on his Twitter account.
