Actor-producer Vijay Sethupathi has denied rumorus which appeared in sections of the press stating that he had donated for charity 50% of the fee he was paid for his recent film Dharma Durai.
Vijay Sethupathi, who has been doing a weekly column for a popular regional weekly for the past many weeks, is happy with the success of his latest film Dharma Durai which has been directed by his mentor Seenu Ramasamy.
Trio of beauties in Tamannaah, Aishwarya Rajesh and Srushti Dange are his heroines in the film which has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
Reports said that Vijay Sethupathi had forfeited 50% of his fee for Dharma Durai for the welfare of poor and orphaned children. After the news was out in the press, Vijay Sethupathi got congratulatory phone-calls and messages from his fans and well-wishers.
However, not wanting to take undue credit, Vijay Sethupathi hs clarified on his Facebook account that it was not ‘true’ and that it was only a rumour. In an age when film celebrities seek publicity in whatever they do/say, Vijay Sethupathi’s act of disowning a credit wrongly attributed to him is appreciable indeed!
