Violence against girls and women in the country and elsewhere should stop at any cost, superstar Rajiniianth has said. He added that the respective governments would have to initiate appropriate steps in this regard to put an end to the non-stop violence.
Rajini has released a congratulatory message to his eldest daughter Aishwarya Dhanush, who has been appointed as the ‘United Nations’ Goodwill Ambassador’ for South Indian women. Aishwarya received the formal order appointing herself as the ‘goodwill ambassador’ at an exclusive ceremony held in Chennai last evening.
“My daughter Aishwarya is quite capable of doing thins on her own and is full of self-confidence and energy. I’m happy to note that she would be working with the U.N. in ensuring equal rights for women.
I laud her work in this sphere. I shall always stand by her in her endeavours in this regard. As a father, I’m of course extremely happy that my daughter is appointed as the Indian ambassador of a U.N. organization.
“Rights to women isn’t merely an issue; all of us have to strive for rights to be given to women. Violence against women at home, workplace and elsewhere ought to stop for good,” Rajini said in his statement.
