Pa. Ranjith, director of superstar Rajinikanth’s latest colossal hit film Kabali, has asserted that he didn’t narrate scripts to actors Suriya and Vijay and has said that rumours in this regard were works of ‘fiction’.
Ranjith’s next film is awaited with bated breath by many within and outside the entertainment industry. It was reported earlier that Ranjith was about to direct Suriya in his next film after Hari’s S3 (the third film on the Singam sequel). However, it is now said that Komban fame Muthaiah would be directing Suriya in his next film.
Reports also spoke of Vijay’s inclination to work with Ranjith. It was reported in certain sections that Vijay called up Ranjith and told him to make a water-tight script as good as Kabali. Unconfirmed reports also said that Ranjith didn’t acceded to Suriya’s request to change the script he narrated to the latter.
“I narrated scripts neither to Suriya nor to Vijay; in fact, I’m very busy with the scripting process of my next untitled film. Once I complete this and finalize the cast, I shall make a formal announcement about it. I request the print media to wait till that time and not speculate on this and publish false news reports,” Ranjith has said.
