Actor-producer Vishal, who is also the general secretary of Nadigar Sangam, has said that the Sangam doesn’t plan to invite Vijay to the proposed plays to be organized in countries abroad to drum up funds to construct a new premises for the Sangam.
A star-studded cricket event was held a few months back to collect funds (via sponsors as well) for the construction of the building. In the meantime, it is reported that in order to collect additional funds, Sangam’s president Nassar has put forward an idea of hosting plays in countries such as Malaysia, Singapore and in European countries.
Speaking to newsmen recently, Vishal confirmed that plays would indeed be hosted in Malaysia and Singapore and in select European countries. “Nassar has mooted the proposal and would be part of them for sure. I’m not sure I’d be part of those plays.
“Kamal Haasan Sir would be taking part in them while Rajini Sir, who has already congratulated us over phone, may not take part. No way Ajith would be attending this as he is busy shooting abroad. As Vijay didn’t turn up for the star-cricket tourney, we don’t plan to invite him this time for these plays,” Vishal concluded.
