It is reported that the sequel to Imsai Arasan 23-m Pulikesi, the comic venture which was directed by Chimbu Deven and which starred Vadivelu in dual roles, might go to floors towards end-August.
Producer-director Shankar produced Imsai Arasan 23-m Pulikesi whose script was penned so cleverly by Chimbu Deven as a satire on today’s political and social occurrences. It was also the first time that Vadivelu played a lead role in the film which released a few years back.
Talks have been going on for the past few months between Shankar, Chimbu Deven and Vadivelu to come together to make a sequel to the successful film. Vadivelu’s demand for a reportedly ‘huge sum’ delayed the film’s launch and it is said that it has since been settled.
Shankar has backed out of the film due to his commitments with the making of superstar Rajinikanth-starrer 2.0. AGS Entertainment has stepped in as the producer and a formal announcement about the film’s launch is expected to be made in the Tamil month of Aavani and the film might go to floors towards the end of this month.
