Very few can come close to Vikram in stressing and stretching himself to the maximum possible limits so as to make him look suitable for the on-screen character(s) that he is offered by film-makers. Vikram’s dedication, commitment and sincerity were at view in last year’s I which landed him up the coveted Filmfare award for ‘best actor’.
As his last film 10 Endradhukulla opposite Samantha didn’t do that well in theatres, Vikram is said to be very keen in ensuring that his upcoming film Iru Mugan turns out to be a hit venture. His effort was very mush visible during the trailer and audio-launch of the film held yesterday in Chennai.
Vikram plays dual roles in the film directed by Anand Shankar (of Arima Nambi fame). The film has Nayantara and Nithya Menen get paired up opposite Vikram for the first time. The audio and trailer launch were held at Sathyam Cinemas complex and were attended by Nivin Pauly, Sivakarthikeyan, music director Harris Jayaraj, Lizzy, Thambi Ramaiah, lyricist Madan Karky, director Hari and lensman Rajasekhar.
The trailer showed Vikram’s two roles: of an intelligence officer and as a trasngender. More than the songs which were played out, the audiences loved Vikram’s convincing appearance as a transgender which has already raised expectations about the film which is hitting the screens on 02nd October.
