Director Vijay, who had formally requested print media not to prefix his name with his initials ‘A.L.’, has informed that his upcoming Tamil-Telugu-Hindi trilingual directorial venture Devi(L) starring Prabhu Deva and Tamannaah in the lead would be hitting the screens across the country on 09th September. He, however, remained non-committal on his alleged split from his actress-wife Amala Paul.
Produced by Prabhu Deva in association with two others, the shoot of Devi(L) was recently wrapped up and the film’s crew has now gone into the post-production stage. G.V. Prakash Kumar has scored the music of the Tamil-Telugu versions while Sajid-Wajid duo has composed the music for the Hindi version titled as Abhinetri. Sonu Sood plays the antagonist in the film which has Amy Jackson essaying a cameo.
The trailer and audio of the film would be released in August, it is informed. Devi(L) also marks the return of Prabhu Deva to acting after more than a decade. “I’m very happy to be announcing the date of release of the film; it would be released in its Tamil, Telugu and Hindi versions simultaneously on 09th September,” Vijay says.
When queried on his alleged split from his actress wife Amala Paul, Vijay neither confirmed nor denied the rumours. “I have nothing to say on the issue as both the families are talking to each other. I shall abide by whatever decision is taken in this regard,” Vijay said even as reports say that Amala has walked out of Vijay’s residence and has been living alone in T. Nagar.
