Count on superstar Rajini to respect his fans and well-wishers at any given time and at any place. This was very much on display as the ‘man of the masses’, whose latest film Kabali released last Friday and has been doing very well in theatres, arrived at Chennai Airport from U.S. on the midnight of Sunday.
As always, heavy security was in place at the Airport when Rajini arrived. Rajini, clad in a simple attire, waded his way through the security cordon that was thrown around him soon after he alighted the aircraft from U.S. However, he stopped at a few places to pose for selfies with his fans, shake hands and accept their congratulation for his performance in Kabali. Rajini also didn’t wish to greet Airport staff members.
Rajini had been in U.S. for many weeks and it was rumoured by a section of the press that he had been to Americal to take treatment for an ‘undisclosed’ illness whereas Rajini’s family members asserted that it was duty-cum-vacation for the superstar. Rajini looked in sound health as he visited Satchidananda’s Ashram in Virginia last week in the company of his daughter Aishwarya.
Rajini’s trademark waving of hands, smile and walk (at a lightning speed) was very much evident as he arrived at the Airport. Rajini exited from the usual exit point for other passengers and even at that hour, there was a huge row among passengers and his fans who spotted him and greeted. Rajini greeted them back and despite the security cordon, shook hands and waved at his fans even after he got into his car.
