Superstar Rajinikanth’s fans have been going ga-ga over their Thalaivar’s mind-boggling performance in his latest film Kabali which released in theatres across Tamil Nadu, India and elsewhere in the globe yesterday. Excited fans assert that the film might well turn out to be the ‘best’ in Rajini’s career in terms of his performance as well as in terms of box-office collections.
Malaysian premiere of the film was held at the Federal Hall in Kuala Lumpur on Thursady night while a similar premiere show was held in Singapore as well as in Rex Cinemas, Paris (France) and in U.S., Britain and Canada in what is stated to be a ‘first-of-its-kind’ as more than 100 premiere shows of an Indian film were screened all over the globe.
Fans say that Rajini’s performance in the film is a mixture of his enterprising roles in Mullum Malarum and Baashha, considered respectively by critics as Rajini’s best in performance-oriented films and in action-packed ventures. Malaysian fans are of the view that Rajini might even end up getting the national award for ‘best actor’ for his performance in the film.
“Thalaivar’s body language, his sharp reflexes in action sequences, his punch-dialogues, etc. were a treat and we would watch the film many times in the days to come,” was the reaction of the fans who said that Rajini looked as majestic and as graceful as ever despite his age.
