Friends Dhanush and Vijay Sethupathi would be clashing for the first time at the box-office on 12th August when both their films are scheduled to hit the screens.
Dhanush’s Thodari, which is directed by Prabhu Solomon and features Keerthy Suresh as the heroine opposite him, is produced by Satyajyothi Films and has music by D. Imman. In the making for a long time, the film was to release in theatres today but Dhanush chose to postpone the film’s visit so as not to clash with his father-in-law and superstar Rajini’s Kabali which releases in theatres worldwide today.
The post-production work of the film has been going on in full-throttle and the film is to hit the screens on 12th August, the same day when Vijay Sethupathi’s Dharma Durai releases in theatres. Directed by Seenu Ramasamy, the film has Vijay Sethupathi romancing Tamannaah, Srushti Dange and Aishwarya Rajesh. Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the film’s music.
Dhanush’s production venture Naanum Rowdydhaan, which released last year and courted huge success, starred Vijay Sethupathi and Nayantara in the lead and Vijay Sethupathi is also essaying a prominent role in Dhanush’s upcoming Vada Chennai. As such, it would be only a ‘friendly clash’ at the box-office between them though their respective fans might feel otherwise!
