It has been officially announced by ‘Kalaipuli’ S. Thanu, the producer of superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Kabali, that the film would be releasing on screens the world over on 22nd July.
Expectations about the film has been on the rise literally with each passing day as no other Indian film has never managed to create such a huge impact in foreign market. Rajinikanth, Radhika Apte, Sai Dhansika, Kalaiyarasan and Dinesh play prominent roles in the film which has music by Santhosh Narayanan. Pa. Ranjith has penned the film’s story, screenplay and dialogues besides directing the film.
Kabali was sent to the Regional Censor Board yesterday for getting certified. Expectedly, the Censors have certified the 152-minute long film by granting an ‘U’ certificate. Thanu has tweeted on his Twitter account stating that he was happy about the ‘U’ certification and that the film would be released worldwide on 22nd July. On that day, no major film in any language is releasing in Chennai and Tamil Nadu.
Even the release in theatres of a few much-awaited Hollywood films have been postponed or preponed by a week to facilitate Rajini’s Kabali to release in as many theatres as possible. As of now, Kabali is to release in 5,000 halls across the globe including Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore its Tamil, Telugu and Hindi versions.
