Though it has not been confirmed as yet, reports say that the inimitable Neelambari of superstar Rajinikanth’s Padaiyappa might get another chance to rub shoulders with the ‘man of the masses’ in the latter’s upcoming Shankar-directed 2.0.
After many, many years, Rajini has been starring simultaneously in two films; shoot of Kabali has been wrapped up and the film is scheduled to hit the screens on 22nd July while only 50% of the shoot of Shankar’s 2.0 (sequel to the 2010 super-hit film Enthiran: The Robot) has been completed. Bollywood’s Akshay Kumar locks horns with Rajini in the film as the main antagonist.
Amy Jackson plays the female lead in the film though not as a typical heroine. In the meantime, it is said that Ramya Krishnan, whose role of ‘Neelambari’ in Rajini’s super-hit film Padaiyappa is still believed by many as the strongest woman’s character ever portrayed by any heroine in the history of Tamil films, might play a major role in 2.0.
Neither Ramya, who is busy with the shoot of Baahubali 2 and Kamal Haasan’s Sabaash Naidu, nor the crew of 2.0 has so far confirmed the news, though!
