Apparently in an effort to cash in on the Kabali fever, actor Vikram Prabhu has named his next film as Neruppudaa (after the famed ‘punch dialogue’ uttered by superstar Rajinikanth as seen in the trailer of his upcoming film Kabali).
Vikram Prabhu has also taken on a new avatar in the film: he is also the producer of the film and produces it under his recently-floated banner ‘First Artiste Films’. Debutant director Ashok Kumar would be directing the film which pits Kollywood’s latest sensation Nikki Galrani opposite Vikram Prabhu for the first time on screen.
Others essaying major roles include ‘Aadukalam’ Naren, Ponvannan, Madhusan, Nagineedu and ‘Naan Kadavul’ Rajendran. R.D. Rajasekhar is the cinematographer of the film which would have music by Shan Rolden while ‘Danga Maari’ fame Rokesh would be penning all the lyrics in the film.
The film was launched yesterday with a formal ‘muhurat’. Vikram Prabhu plays a die-hard Rajini fan in the film in his role of a fire-fighter. Now you know why the film has been titled as Neruppudaa!
