Contrary to reports which appeared in a few sections of the press some time back, it now turns out that Arvind Swamy is not playing a cop in his upcoming film Bogan but plays a royal heir.
Stills of ‘Jayam’ Ravi and Arvind Swamy donning cop’s uniforms and standing close to each other were released to the press some time back and it set rumour-mongers at work overtime as they claimed that both Ravi and Swamy were playing cops in the film. They even wondered who then could be playing the antagonist in the film!
However, the crew of the film say on condition of stricy anonymity that this is not the case. Bogan, directed by Lakshman of Romeo Juliet fame, brings together ‘Jayam’ Ravi and Hansika as on-screen pair for the third time after Engeyum Kadhal and last year’s Romeo Juliet. Arvind Swamy, who played a cool antagonist in ‘Jayam’ Ravi’s super-successful Thani Oruvan last year, plays a major role in Bogan too.
The script of the film is penned in such a manner that Ravi and Swamy dominate the pre-interval and post-interval portions of the film. Arvind Swamy plays a person belonging to a royal family who gets angry as the Govt. takes over the royal properties.
Akshara Gowda of Thuppakki and Aarambam fame plays the second heroine in a cop’s role in the film. D. Imman scores the music while Soundar is the cinematographer.
