S.S. Rajamouli, who has acquired the tag of ‘showman’ of South Indian cinema thanks to his colossal hit film Baahubali which released in theatres last year, is presently shooting the climatic portions of the sequel (tentatively titled as Baahubali 2) at a whopping cost of Rs.30 crores!
Baahubali made the whole of Indian and global cinema take a serious and hard look at Rajamouli’s film-making instincts. He is presently busy with making the sequel. Not paying much attention to the various rumorus about the progress of the film’s shoot, Rajamouli has been going about his job in a methodical manner.
He is reportedly very keen to ensure that the expectations of the audiences generated by the super-success of Baahubali should be adequately fulfilled in the sequel. Sources close to him say that he has allotted 100 days of shooting schedule only to shoot the climatic sequence, a war scenario, to make it look as realistic as possible.
Rs.30 crores has been allocated merely to shoot the climax, which is double the amount spent in shooting the climax of Baahubali. As already reported, Tamannaah, Anushka, Prabhas and Rana Daggubati play prominent roles in the film. ‘Milky beauty’ Tamannaah has already trained herself enough in horse-riding to star in the war sequences!
