Sources close to actor Kamal Haasan, who is presently in U.S. in connection with the shoot of his upcoming film Sabaash Naidu, say that the film might be released in theatres on the star’s birthday on 07th November or on 01st December.
The shoot of the film, which commenced only a few weeks back, is said to have been wrapped up with only a few ‘patch-work’ sequences remaining to be shot. Camping in Los Angeles, Kamal Haasan has been directing the film as Rajeev Kumar, who was to direct the film, has taken ill and has since been hospitalized.
Starring Kamal Haasan, Ramya Karishnan, Shruti Haasan and Brahmanandam in the lead, the film has music by Maestro Ilaiyaraaja, who gets to score music for a Kamal-starrer after a long time. In the meantime, it is reported that Kamal Haasan might take his time in the film’s post-production work and would release the film either on his birthday (07th November) or on 01st December.
Meanwhile, Kollywood reports say that Kamal Haasan’s next film would be an action-packed venture based on hijacking of a plane. Rajesh M. Selva, former aide of Kamal Haasan who debuted as director with last year’s Thoongaavanam, would be directing Kamal again in the upcoming untitled action venture.
