‘First-look’ posters of director Selvaraghavan’s upcoming film Nenjam Marappadhillai were released yesterday.
Selvaraghavan, who has made Kadhal Kondein, Pudhupettai and 7G Rainbow Colony in the past, slipped up badly with his last two ventures in Mayakkam Enna and Irandaam Ulagam. He then announced the launch of Simbu-Catherine Tresa starrer Kaan which has since been abandoned without assigning any reason.
Selvaraghavan, as such, makes a comeback with Nenjam Marappadhillai, titled after yesteryear’s thriller film of the same name. Billed as his first attempt to make a film of horror genre, Nenjam Marappadhillai has SJ Suryah, Nandita Swetha and Regina Cassandra in lead roles.
It has been produced jointly by Gautham Vasudev Menan and Madhan. The film has already generated quite a lot of expectations as Yuvan Shankar Raja re-joins Selvaraghavan after eight long years.
90% of the film’s shoot has been wrapped up; most sequences have been shot on Chennai’s ECR Road. Though the film’s title has been borrowed from an old film, the film’s crew insist that the film is not a remake version at all. For once, pretty-looking Regina would be playing a ‘ghost’ and would be terrorizing audiences!
