For the first time in his career spanning more than three decades, veteran actor Radha Ravi is all set to play a ‘ghost’ in an upcoming film titled as Sangili Pungili Kadhava Thora.
Jiiva, who is awaiting the release in theatres of films such as Thirunaal and Kavalai Vendaam, has been signed up to play the lead role in yet another film titled as Sangili Pungili Kadhava Thora, named after the lyrics of a popular song in Raghava Lawrence’s Kanchana 2. Billed as a horror flick, the film is to be directed by debutant director Hari.
Hari, who had earlier assisted ‘Ulaganayagan’ Kamal Haasan in the making of a few films, makes his directorial debut with Sangili Pungili Kadhava Thora which has Sri Divya pairing up opposite Jiiva for the first time. The film’s shoot commenced in Palani a few days back. Radhika Sarathkumar, Radha Ravi, Thambi Ramaiah and Soori play significant roles in the film which has music by Vishal Chandrasekar.
Fox Star Studios and Atlee’s ‘A For Apple’ are jointly producing the film whose shoot is proceeding at a brisk pace. Radha Ravi, who played a significant role in Mysskin’s 2014 flick Pisaasu, is said to be essaying the role of a ‘ghost’ in the film!
