Europeans, Americans and English are very particular about not doing any ‘good things’ on 13th and if the 13th falls on a Friday, they go into a shell, postponing all their assignments to some other day. This, however, is not the case in India in general and Tamil Nadu in particular. Bobby Simha and G.V. Prakash Kumar’s upcoming films are slated to hit the screens next Friday (13th May).
Bobby Simha’s Ko 2 and G.V. Prakash Kumar’s much-delayed Pencil are the films which would be vying with each other for Box Office honours on 13th May. Ko 2 stars Bobby Simha, Nikki Galrani and Prakash Raj in the lead and has been directed by Sarath and produced by Elred Kumar.
Music director-turned-hero G.V. Prakash Kumar was to make his debut as hero with Pencil in 2014 itself but the film’s release in theatres got delayed due to many reasons. Every issue has been sorted out and the film is finally ready to hit the screens. It pits Sri Divya opposite G.V. Prakash Kumar in what is touted as a romantic story set in a school’s backdrop. It has been directed by debutant director Mani Nagaraj.
Thanks to G.V. Prakash Kumar’s successful films as hero in the form of Darling and Trisha Illana Nayantara, he now has a handful of films on his hands and his Pencil is finally seeing the light of the day.
Both Ko 2 and Pencil are looked forward to eagerly by the respective heroes for a variety of reasons as Bobby hasn’t had a decent hit for a long time now and G.V. Prakash Kumar wants to continue his winning streak.
