Actor-producer Vishal, who is the incumbent general secretary of Nadigar Sangam, has clarified that there are absolutely no issues between him and Ajith Kumar.
Along with Sangam’s president Nassar, treasurer Karthi & vice-president Ponvannan, Vishal addressed a press-meet yesterday in the city held to thank the media for the ‘success’ of the recently-held ‘star cricket’ tourney to drum up funds for construction of a new premises for the Sangam. Karunas, another vice-president who contests the upcoming Assembly polls and who is campaigning, was missing at the press-meet.
“The cricket tourney was held in a grand manner and turned out to be successful. It’s a huge feat for the Sangam to have organized a tournament a short notice.
Thanks to the collections from the tourney, we have paid off all the debts of the Sangam and have Rs.8 crores in excess in our kitty. Rs.28 crores is estimated as the cost for constructing the premises for Sangam; with the amout we have, we would start the work soon.
“To meet the remaining expenditure, we would be making a film and the proceeds from it would be used to serve the purpose,” Vishal said. When asked what was the issue between him and Ajith, Vishal said that he never had any issue with Ajith.
“It was the media’s making,” he said. To another query about the less crowds at the stadium to watch cricket tourney of Sangam, he said that the purpose was to have less crowd.
