It was reported in these columns some time back that Nayantara, the ‘numero uno’ actress in Tamil films, had given her consent to star opposite Sivakarthikeyan in the latter’s next film which would be directed by ‘Jayam’ Raja. It now turns out that Anirudh Ravichander, who is trying to get into ‘normal’ mode post the ‘Beep-song’ controversy, would be the film’s music composer.
Raja directed Nayantara and his younger brother and actor ‘Jayam’ Ravi in last year’s super-duper hit film Thani Oruvan. Hiphop Tamizha’s music, the script, Ravi and Aravind Swamy’s performances and Nayan’s glamour worked wonders for the film at the box-office.
It was obviously expected that Raja’s next film would have Hiphop Tamizha as music director but he has since been replaced by Anirudh Ravichander.
Anirudh is already scoring the music of Sivakarthikeyan’s immediate film Remo which might release in the second-half of the year. Keerthy Suresh gets paired up opposite Sivakarthikeyan for the second time in a row after January’s super-hit film Rajini Murugan. Debutant Bhagyaraj Kannan is directing the film.
Mollywood’s Fahadh Faasil would be the antagonist in Raja’s untitled Sivakarthikeyan starrer which would have music by Anirudh Ravichander who had scored music for many hit films of Sivakarthikeyan including Ethir Neechal, Kakki Sattai and Maan Karate.
