Nikki Galrani, who debuted in Tamil films with last year’s horror-cum-comic thriller Darling early last year, is an actress who knows only hard-work would take an artiste further in tinsel town.
Many actresses would have rejected the idea of debuting in films as a ‘ghost’ but the beautiful Nikki didn’t flinch at the offer and went ahead and had a ‘successful’ debut with Darling which also marked the debut film as hero in respect of music director G.V. Prakash Kumar. The talented actress is now having plenty of films on hand including the soon-to-be-released Ko 2 opposite Bobby Simha.
“I always want to keep myself busy with my projects or some other work. At the same time, I don’t want to rush up with my projects and take my time in deciding to accept the role(s) offered to me.
While listening to the script itself, my instinct would tell me whether the script would work out or not. Based on my instinct, I accept my roles. My roles in Ko 2 and Motta Siva Ketta Siva are damn good.
“Without sounding clichéd I would say that I never wanted to become an actress; I take things my stride and don’t plan anything. I don’t refuse any offer based on the language,” she said and added that glamour, according to her, wasn’t merely taking off clothes. “One can look glamourous in sarees too; glamour should never be bordering on obscenity,” she concluded.
