Asin has denied reports which appeared in some sections of the media a few weeks back stating that she would be calling it quits from the film industry.
After starring in plenty of successful Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films, Asin debuted in Bollywood opposite Aamir Khan in A.R. Murugadoss’ Ghajini, Hindi remake of the successful Tamil film of the same name. She starred in few more films in Hindi, which turned out to be Rs.100-crore ventures at the box-office.
Reports said that Asin was contemplating quitting the film industry after her marriage which took place in January. It was also rumoured that she had been asked to pair up opposite a frontline hero post her marriage and that she was thinking hard about whether to say ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to the offer.
Denying all those reports, Asin said “Many rumours have been planted in the industry about me. I had completed all my pending projects before my marriage. At the same time, I never said that I won’t be starring in films again in future!”
