Kamal Haasan has announced that the shoot of his upcoming film, in which he shares screen space with his celebrated, multi-faceted and mightily talented daughter Shruti Haasan, would commence on 29th April.
It may be recalled that Shruti Haasan debuted as music director in Kollywood a few years back with her father’s Unnaipol Oruvan, which was the Tamil remake of the Bollywood hit film ‘A Wednesday’.
She later made her debut as an actress in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi movies and has carved a niche for herself as an actress of substance in all these languages where she has also been dazzling as a playback singer.
Shruti has expressed her desire more than once to appear on screen with her father in a film. Her wish is to soon become a reality. Kamal Haasan, while speaking to Maddy (R. Madhavan) on a micro-blogging platform Twitter, said that the film to star himself with Shruti would go to floors on the 29th of this month.
To be directed by Mollywood’s Rajeev Kumar, the film is projected as a full-length comedy and would be shot majorly in countries abroad. Maestro Ilaiyaraaja would be scoring the music of the film.
