Arun Vijay would be donning the Khakhi uniform for the first time in his almost two-decade long career when he plays the protagonist in Eeram fame Arivazhagan’s upcoming directorial venture which is yet to be titled.
Arun revealed a hitherto unknown side of his personality by playing the antagonist in last year’s super-hit Ajith-starrer Yenai Arindhaal which was directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. The film’s success and Arun Vijay’s strong role/performance in it opened the flood-gates for him as he found more and more offers as hero as well as villain knocking at his doors.
“I had been waiting for a perfect script after Yennai Arindhaal and was very impressed by the script Arivazhagan narrated to me. For the first time in my career, I play a cop in the film which would surely be very different from the usual cop story,” reveals Arun Vijay.
Arivazhagan hinted that Arun Vijay’s appearance in the film would be having many dimensions to it. “He would be clean-shaven in one frame and would acquire a tough look in another; we can’t say it in detail,” he quipped when queried about it. It may be recalled that Arivazhagan’s debut film Eeram and his latest film Aarathu Sinam too had the protagonist essaying a cop’s role.
