Lyka Productions, which has been producing the country’s most expensive film in superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming film 2.0 helmed by Shankar, has denied that it had acquired the release and distribution rights of Dhanush’s upcoming film Kodi.
Produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films and directed by R.S. Durai Senthil Kumar (who directed Ethir Neechal and Kakki Sattai also produced by Dhanush but starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead), the script of Kodi is said to be that of an young and aspiring politician essayed by Dhanush. Trisha is paired up opposite Dhanush for the first time in her career.
It was earlier reported widely that Lyka had taken up the release and distribution of Kodi. In a statement, Lyka said that it had nothing to do with the release of Kodi.
“It had been wrongly reported in the media that we had taken up the distribution and release rights of Kodi,” Lyka has said in a statement even as it is busy producing Rajinii’s 2.0, Yaman, Rajeev Kumar’s Kamal Haasan-starrer, Akshay Kumar’s Hindi film and a Telugu film.
