Aishwarya Rajesh shot to national/international fame by essaying the deglamourized role of a mother of two children in Manikandan’s award-winning film Kakka Muttai produced jointly by the national award-winning duo of Dhanush and Vetrimaaran. The actress has regretted the growing trend of Tamil-speaking actress running short of film-offers in Tamil film industry.
Aishwarya has played the heroine in yesterday’s release Helli Naan pei Pesuren which also stars Vaibhav, Oviya Helen and VTV Ganesh in lead roles.
Debutant director Baskar has directed the film which has been produced by Sundar C. She addressed the press on the eve of the meet-the-press event held in connection with the film’s release when she made the above-said remarks.
“I’m thankful to Baskar for giving me the chance to star in the film; I liked it when he said that he chose me for my Tamil-speaking skills. Ironically enough, Tamil-speaking actresses are not offered films by directors and producers for some strange reasons.
I haven’t danced that well in my films so far but have attempted to do a good job in this film which I’m sure would be loved by audiences and my fans,” she said.
