Director Thiru, who would be directing ‘Chiyaan’ Vikram in his upcoming film titled as Garuda, has denied that the crew had been talking to two heroines to pair up opposite the award-winning actor.
Reports appearing in a section of the press said that Keerthy Suresh, who is the latest sensation in Kollywood, was approached by the crew to play Vikram’s heroine in the film but she refused to accept the offer citing Vikram’s age as the actor would turn 50 next month.
Vikram’s fans didn’t take kindly to the news item and took to social networking sites commenting harsh about Keerthy, daughter of yesteryear’s heroine Menaka. As if to put a full-stop to all these things, Thiru has clarified that Keerthy wasn’t approached by the crew as she was not in the reckoning at all to star in the film.
Tweeting on his Twitter account, Thiru said that he wanted to clarify regarding the rumour which had been making rounds. “The reports are completely false; we haven’t been talking to Keerthy Suresh at all as she was not considered. The only actress we approached to play the lead was Kajal Aggarwal!” Thiru recorded, pacifiying Vikram’s agitated fans.
