Producer-director-actor M. Sasikumar’s upcoming film has been titled as Vetrivel and will have him romancing more than one heroine for the first time in his career. In fact, the bearded Sasikumar gets to romance not one but three heroines in the film!
R. Ravindran, who had distributed more than 500 films through his Trident Arts, makes his debut as producer with Vetrivel about which he had spoken to Sasikumar even before he signed up to star in Bala’s Tharai Thappattai which released early this year. In fact, the shoot of the film has already been wrapped as it had been shot for the pat many months.
Vasanthamani, who assisted debutant director Nesan during the making of Vijay’s Jilla, makes his debut in Kollywood as director with Vetrivel.
He also pens the story, screenplay and dialogues. Prabhu and Thambi Ramaiah essay prominent roles in the film which has Mia George, Nikhila and Varsha as the three heroine.
Billed as a romantic, action-packed comic venture in typical Sasikumar’s style, the film has music by D. Imman and has been cinematographed by Kaathir. The shoot was held in Thanjavur, Pollachi and its surrounding localities. Post-production work is now in progress and the film’s music might be released this Friday (16th March).
