Director Shankar would soon be travelling to the national capital along with superstar Rajinikanth, Bollywood’s Akshay Kumar, other artistes, crew members and technicians to shoot huge fight sequences in his upcoming film 2.0 involving Rajini and Akshay and Rajini taking on the might of the Army at the popular Ferozeshah Kotla cricket ground in New Delhi.
Rajini and Shankar are coming together for the third time after hit films such as Sivaji: The Boss and Enthiran: The Robot to make 2.0, sequel to Enthiran. Amy Jackson is cast in a prominent role (not known whether she will play Rajini’s love interest in the film) which has music by A.R. Rahman. The shoot of the film had already commenced in Chennai.
Shankar reportedly hunted in many locations to shoot the stunt sequences between Rajini and Akshay and another stunt sequences where Rajini takes on armymen in huge numbers. After hunting for a long time, Shankar zeroed in on Ferozhshah Kotla cricket ground, place of many historical cricketing battles in the past, to shoot.
It may be recalled that it was in this same ground that Shankar shot portions of his earlier hit films Kadhalan and Boys. Shankar and the crew including Rajini would be camping in Delhi for 25 days to shoot the stunt sequences.
