After reports claimed that Kalabhavan Mani was declared dead due to liver and renal failure, doctors alerted the police after traces of methyl alcohol were found in his body. The police has filed a case and is inquiring his three friends who were said to be with him in a guesthouse where Mani was found unconscious.
Meanwhile, the doctors at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences will be conducting the postmortem and submit their report to the police officials today afternoon before handing over the body to Mani’s relatives.
“Sad about my friend Kalabhavanam Mani. One more of My Malayalee brothers dying of cirrhosis. He had more talent than time,” posted Kamal Haasan who shared screen space with Mani in Papanasam.
