Bollywood’s ‘Baadshah’ Shah Rukh Khan, who starred in a major role in Kamal Haasan’s Hey Ram more than 16 years back, has gone on record about his liking for superstar Rajinikanth on many occasions in the past.
If his Ra.One had Rajini making a ‘blink-n-miss’ appearance, he featured the hugely popular ‘Lungi Dance’ song in his super-duper hit film Chennai Express as a tribute to Rajini’s phenomenal achievements in films.
While attending the audio-launch of superstar Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiiyaan a few years back, Shah Rukh said that he only knew one word properly in Tamil and it was ‘Thalaivaa’ and drew huge applause from Rajini’s fans. Shah Rukh has now dedicated an anthem from his upcoming film ‘Fan’ for Rajinikanth. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on 15th April.
It has been included in the script as a song a fan sings praising his matinee idol. This particular song has been created in Hindi, Marathi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Bhojpuri and Tamil.
Releasing the Tamil version in Twitter yesterday and dedicating it to Rajini, Shah Rukh said “Rajini Sir, I’m not a star; I’m just one of your millions of fans across the globe. It makes me feel really proud, Thalaivaa!”
The Marathi version of the song has been dedicated to retired cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar. Shah Rukh further said that the nation itself was a fan of heroes such as Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation, superstar Rajinikanth and Sachin Tendulkar.
