According to sources Kalaipuli S Thanu is holding back the worldwide theatrical rights of Theri for the smooth release of Kanithan. If a distributor is willing to release Kanithan, then he will be automatically get the privilege of releasing Theri but only after paying necessary amount.
Directed by TN Santhosh, a former associate of AR Murugadoss, Kanithan has Atharvaa Murali and Catherine Teresa in important roles. Famous drummer Sivamani has composed music for Kanithan and the Yeppa Chappa song is already a big hit.
Kalaipuli S Thanu is planning to release Kanithan in more than 250 screens across Tamil Nadu.
