It is reported from sources close to director K.S. Ravikumar that his upcoming film Mudinja Ivana Pudi starring Sudeep and Nithya Menen in the lead, would be released in theatres on 08th April, a week ahead of major releases such as Suriya’s Vikram Kumar-directed 24 and Vijay’s Atlee-directed Theri.
Made simultaneously in Tamil and Kannada (Kodigobba 2 being the tentative title), Mudinja Ivana Pudi was to get rolling in 2014 itself but got delayed as Ravikumar wanted to make superstar Rajinikanth’s Lingaa first to which Sudeep gracefully agreed.
Nithya, who has been getting prominent roles in films nowadays, gets to pair up opposite Sudeep for the first time in her career.
‘Rockline’ Venkatesh, producer of Lingaa, is producing Mudinja Ivana Pudi jointly with M.B. Babu. The shoot of the film has been wrapped up and the post-production work has been going on at full-swing.
Rajarathinam is the cinematographer of the film which has music by D. Imman and has been edited by Praveen Antony. As always, Ravikumar has penned the story, screenplay and dialogues of the film.
“No date for the release of the film’s teaser/audio has been fixed till date but would be announced soon. As it is the first film under K.S. Ravikumar-Sudeep combination and is also the first Tamil film having Sudeep in the lead, expectations about Mudinja Ivana Pudi are obviously high in the minds of movie-goers.
