Actor Simbu would be essaying triple roles for the first time in an upcoming film which hasn’t yet been titled. Adhik Ravichandran, who shot to fame with his debut directorial venture Trisha Illana Nayantara (albeit in a controversial manner) last year, will be directing Simbu in the proposed film.
For some reasons, Simbu’s films have been facing variety of problems in their release in theatres for the past few years.
His Vaalu released last year after a prolonged delay after which fans were hoping that his much-delayed Vettai Mannan and the Pandiraj-directed Idhu Namma Aalu would be releasing soon. However, this was not how things turned out later.
Simbu got caught up in the ‘beep’ controversy and remained ‘out of bounds’ for his fans before coming out in the open on his birthday early this month. He celebrated his birthday in the presence of his parents, relatives and friends.
Trailer of Idhu Namma Aalu, released on the occasion, has met with huge response from his ever-eager fans and the film is slated to release in theatres in the second week of March.
Now in the concluding stages of his Achcham Enbadhu Madamaiyada directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, Simbu has been signed up in Adhik Ravichandran to play triple roles in an untitled film which would have equal doses of romance, action and comedy.
“An announcement in this regard would be made soon; Simbu would have three heroines opposite him and one of them would be from Bollywood,” says Adhik.
