A staff-member working with an Airline company at the Kuala Lumpur Airport has been suspended for reportedly ‘leaking’ photos of interrogation of Nayantara a few days back.
Nayantara, the ‘numero uno’ of Tamil films, was in Kuala Lumpur recently to take part in the shoot of her upcoming film Irumugan opposite Vikram.
Directed by Anand Shankar of Arima Nambi fame, the film has already made headlines not for the film’s content but for the way Nayantara was treated at the Airport wherein she was reportedly ‘frisked’ on suspicion of possessing banned drugs.
It was reported that Nayantara was detained at the Kuala Lumpur Airport for a few hours and was later let off. Yuvaraj, PRO of crew of Irumugan, has now clarified the matter. “When she arrived at the Airport to take a return flight to Chennai along with a couple of assistants, she was checked as her passport bore work permit only to enter one of the two Airports in Kuala Lumpur.
“After briefly interrogating with Nayantara, the officials let her go and take the flight to Chennai and she returned to her native Kerala on 03rd February as per schedule,” he said.
It is reported from Kuala Lumpur that one Airport employee, who took Nayan’s photos on his mobile while she was being interrogated, has been suspended for posting those photos on Facebook and other social networking sites.
