Finally, Tamil-only audiences and fans of ‘milky beauty’ Tamannaah can get to hear her real voice.
Curvaceous Tamannaah, who starred in a lead role in last year’s colossal hit Baahubali, is now essaying one of the four heroines (Aishwarya Rajesh, Srushti Dange and Sshivada being the others) in Vijay Sethupathi’s upcoming film titled as Dharma Durai.
Yuvan Shankar Raja is the music director of the film which is directed by Seenu Ramasamy, who directs Vijay Sethupathi for the second time.
When the likes of ‘Tamil’ actresses such as Trisha are not confident enough to dub in their voices, decision of Punjabi Kudi Tamannaah to dub in her own voice for her role in Dharma Durai is indeed laudable.
For some reasons, unlike in Bollywood, Tamil actresses seem to feel ‘dubbing’ in own voice as a menace as can be seen in Anjali, who is very fluent in Tamil, opting for a dubbed voice in a recent TV commercial.
Tamannaah is happy that Ramasamy has agreed to her proposal to dub for her role in the film in her voice. She is now taking tuition classes to get her diction right. Upcoming actress Sri Divya has also dubbed for her role in Bangalore Naatkal which releases in theatres today.
