Prabhu Solomon, who doesn’t believe in making compromises with the treatment of his scripts and puts scripts before the hero, is happy to be working with the national award-winning actor Dhanush for the first time in his upcoming film Mirattu.
Director of films such as Laadam, Mynaa, Kumki and Kayal in the past, Solomon has reportedly completed the shoot of Mirttu and has proceeded into the post-production stage.
“If you keep making many small compromises in the objective you set for yourself to make a film, it would only dilute the resultant product as it leads to a soft approach. In my upcoming film, I haven’t attempted any of this sort.
“I met Dhanush on 28th December, 2014 after grand Christmas celebrations and asked him if he was ready to star in my film. He nodded in agreement without even listening to the script and gave me a commitment to come back to me the next year. As per his word, he turned out and gave me long schedules of call-sheet dates from 01st June last year.
“Dhanush didn’t have any idea about the script till the shoot reached its second week; I narrated to him the entire script only afterwards. He listened to the story carefully and performed with the sincerity of a newcomer. He doesn’t have the habit of looking at the monitor to know how he had performed. His stunt sequences in the film would be spoken about for a long time.
“He is riding a huge success wave not only as an actor but also as a film-maker of substance. He is widening his horizons by agreeing to star in a Hollywood film. He deserves kudos of the highest order for making socially relevant films,” concludes Prabhu Solomon. Keerthy Suresh plays one of Dhanush’s two heroines in the film.
