Before signing Dhanush for her English-language film ‘The Extraordinary Journey Of the Fakir Who Got Trapped In The Ikea Cupboard’, Iranian-born French filmmaker Marjane Satrapi had watched 17 films of the actor including his Hindi debut Raanjhanaa, which impressed her.
Marjane Satrapi has revealed that she will be start shooting the project from June 22nd in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Dhanush will be seen playing the role of Fakir who deceives the people in his village to send him to France.
Dhanush is currently working in Kodi directed by Durai Senthilkumar. Shamlee and Trisha Krishnan play the female leads in this film, which will be wrapped up towards the end of February.
