Finally, it has been announced officially that Simbu’s long-delayed Idhu Namma Aalu opposite his ex-flame Nayantara and directed by national award-winning director Pandiraj would be releasing in theatres on 24th March.
Tthere is, of course possibility that this might also change in the days to come as Simbu’s eager fans, who have been awaiting with interest for the film to release, have been left disappointed as the film missed its scheduled date of release in theatres at least twice in the past. Andrea Jeremiah and comedian Soori play prominent roles in the film which has a debutant music director in Simbu’s younger sibling Kuralarasan.
The audio-launch of the film would be held tomorrow (03rd February) when Simbu turns 32. A trailer is also likely to be released tomorrow. The distribution and release rights of Idhu Namma Aalu have been bagged by Sri Thenandal Films which feels Simbu-Nayan’s amazing on-screen chemistry might make the film a super-duper hit.
As Prashanth’s Saahasam and a few other movies have been lined up for release in February and early March, the crew of Idhu Namma Aalu has decided to release the film on 24th March, ahead of release in theatres of Suriya’s 24 and Vijay’s Theri which are likely to clash at the box-office on 14th April on Tamil New Year Day.
Meanwhile, unconfirmed reports say Shruti Haasan may dance for an ‘item number’ in the film as she is likely to step into the shoes of Nayantara who is said to be ‘unavailable’ for the ‘special item number’.
