If reports are to be believed, producer-director A.R. Murugadoss is all set to go back to his roots by repeating Ajith Kumar, who was an established hero in 2001 but still agreed to star in rookie Murugadoss’ Dheena which paved the way for the latter’s successful career, in a new film to be produced by Udhayanidhi. In all likelihood, the film is to go to the floors in the beginning of next year.
Presently recuperating after his surgery, Ajith is to leave for London for vacation for a couple of months. He is likely to commit himself to starring in Siva’s new film besides another film with Vishnuvardhan in the second-half of the year. It is now reported that Murugadoss, who has made two films with Vijay in Thuppakki and Kaththi, would get to direct Ajith (for the second time in his career) next year.
It was the diminutive Murugadoss who gave Ajith his popular title ‘Thala’ by inserting the word in a dialogue uttered by ‘Mahanadhi’ Shankar in Dheena. Unfortunately, after the 2001 super-hit Dheena, Ajith and Murugadoss haven’t worked with each other but are likely to come together in a new, big budget film to be produced by Udhayanidhi’s Red Giant Movies.
Ajith is said to have okayed the script narrated to him by Murugadoss who is right now busy with his Hindi and Telugu projects after which he would start work in Ajith’s film which is to go to floors early next year.
