DMK president M. Karunanidhi’s grandson and actor Arulnithi is all set to pair up opposite Aishwarya Rajesh of Kakka Muttai fame in his upcoming film titled as Aarathu Sinam.
Co-starring Aishwarya Dutta, Radha Ravi, Anupama Kumar, Thulasi, ‘Robot’ Shankar, RNR Manohar, Charlie and Ramesh Thilak among othes, Aaraadhu Sinam is the Tamil remake of the popular Malayalam hit film Memories (2013) by Jeethu Joseph, who made last year’s Papanasam. S.S. Thaman is the music director of the film which has been cinematographed by Arvinnd Singh.
This is only the third film for Arivazhagan, who debuted as director in Kollywood with Shankar’s Eeram in 2009, and who later made the Nakul-starrer Vallinam in 2014. “It’s a cop story and would harp in detail about the difficulties/tough times faced by honest police officials who go about their job of tracking/nabbing criminals. The film has plenty of action sequences as well.
“We have shot the film in 39 locations. Each hero has an important cop story in his career and I’m sure this will be Arulnithi’s film to remember. Police means possessing and using the Adhikaram (power) at their disposal; as such, we have included a song from Saint Tiruvalluvar’s Tirukkural about (ab)use of power,” concludes Arivazhagan.
