The AP and Nizam rights for Suriya’s sci-fi, time travel thriller 24 have been sold for an unprecedented sum of Rs. 16 crores according to reliable trade pundits. The film is currently under the post production phase.
Vikram Kumar has confirmed that the there is a lot of post production work pending including the time-consuming visual effects which are aplenty in the film. The team is planning to complete the VFX work before the end of March.
The audio launch is likely to be held in March and the film’s tentative release date is April 14th alongside Vijay’s Theri. However, trade sources suggest that 24 may get pushed to the end of May after Kabali hits the screens.
